First introduced in the 1970s, Pente is a contemporary strategy game based upon several closely related games that have been popular in Asia for centuries – most notably the game of Go! The object is simple – the first player to place 5 stones in a row or to capture 5 pairs of opposing stones is the winner.

• Object: To win the match by being the first player to score a designated number of points (usually 21) over a series of games. A game ends when a player makes four-in-a-row or 4 captures.
• Fast-moving game of skill: the classic game of capture and 5-in-a-row. Win by placing 5 stones in a row or by capturing 5 pairs of your opponent’s stones. Easy to learn and hard to master!
